Reading gives you wings!

Let's Fly uses a synthetic phonics, morphological, and sight word approach to reading because, for some little learners, phonics alone isn’t enough. Words are introduced systematically in small, manageable batches. These words are then woven into silly sentences, gorgeous poems and fun games. Let’s Fly makes learning to read enjoyable while building fluency and confidence. Enabling little brains the space to enjoy their stories!

Phonological Awareness

Your little learner will learn to accurately process, appreciate, and work with sounds-the fundamental building block of all reading (and spelling) skills.

How it works

Building Confidence

Alongside all this, we work on the rapid recognition of the most common words that appear in 65% of everything we read. This helps to build fluent and confident reading.

Phonics

As they progress, your little learner will discover that some letter combinations make different sounds and some groups of letters make multiple sounds! This helps accurate and fluent decoding.

The Big Word Trick

Let's Fly also builds confidence with our big word trick. We meet challenging and potentially intimidating words in a fun, familiar way to take the fear out of reading.

Visual Understanding

We practise common hiccups struggling readers come up against such as left-to-right scanning, letter orientation, and letter sequencing. Words start in the Open Dyslexic Font, helping little eyes read easily.

Comprehension Skills

Let‘s Fly nurtures comprehension skills. This ensures that our little learners also develop the skills and confidence to understand and interpret what they read.
